North Point Founding Story
Beginning in 2009, as he pursued a career as a criminal defense attorney, Isaac became a political opposition researcher, helping campaigns and would-be politicians consider their vulnerabilities, prepare fact-based responses to forthcoming stories and comb opponents’ histories for narratives that he could effectively pitch to members of the media.
Once he became a litigator in white-collar and investigations practice, he continued to hone his skills at thread-pulling and rigorous factfinding. Over time he gained an appreciation for the potential value of rigorous research in commercial applications, along with an awareness that there were credible providers in a space where top professional services used for numerous related workstreams.
In 2018 he set out to prove that exhaustive research conducted by exceptional people had appeal for numerous types of businesses, even if they were not asking for it.
That same year, North Point began building its business and reputation supporting leading private equity firms. It has continued to grow in terms of the nature of work it performs for a growing number of customers and industries. While our process, methods, capabilities, and applications are ever-expanding, we have not strayed from our commitment to relentless research, intuitive well-crafted deliverables, and to being the most responsive, reliable and tireless provider in the industry.
